I began working with clay in college and found it a wonderful medium through which I could express my creativity.Yet being a mother was the most rewarding experience I could ever have. So I left the studio for many years. Now, my children are grown and I again have time to create with clay.

Working with clay liberates my personal creative expression. It is both mentally challenging and physically engaging. It makes no difference whether I am working on the wheel or on a hand-built vessel, there is a palpable excitement when experimenting with form, glaze, or surface texture. I enjoy seeing where new ideas can take me. How might I further exaggerate this shape? How might I use glazes to highlight different portions of a form? How will different surface textures or designs complement the form of a pot? Explore my creations and see how I have answered these design challenges. Welcome to my Second Stage!
