Deep turquoise and brilliant cobalt blue weeping down the form ensure this piece will be the focal point of any room. This form was thrown on a wheel and then altered by hand to obtain the more organic form. I use my thumb, or sometimes a tool, to impress lines into the wet clay. Then, reaching into the inside of the vessel, I use fingers, tools, or the smooth base of my thumb to stretch the clay in between the impressed lines. This vase is approximately 9" tall and 6' wide.
As all raku pottery, this vase is not waterproof. It is decorative only. Should you want to add flowers, consider using dried flowers. Alternatively, you can put the flower stems and water into a ziploc bag, zip it as closed as possible, and put the bag into the vase.
