This raku vase sports two different copper glazes, one shiny and one matte. The contrast between them highlight the organic form of the vase. This form began as a simple cylinder. Using my thumb, I incised lines into the surface of the cylinder. I then reached inside, pushing out in between these incised lines to create this unique form.
As all raku pottery, this vase is not waterproof. It is decorative only. Should you want to add flowers, consider using dried flowers. Alternatively, you can put the flower stems and water into a ziploc bag, zip it as closed as possible, and put the bag into the vase.
This vase is approximately 14" tall and 5" in diameter.
